The Alexandria opened as the first luxury hotel in Los Angeles CA shortly after the turn of the century. This ashtray dates to their post-WWII period, before it became a cheap boxing arena in the 1960s-70s. Recently, the Alexandria has been renovated into a low-rent subsidized apartment facility.
