Souvenir plate from Mission San Fernando CA, with color decal decoration & gold filigree rim. There is a slight flaw in the edge of the decal at about 11 o'clock in the picture; otherwise the plate is in very good condition. Mission San Fernando was the fourth mission established along California's El Camino Real in 1797. After Mexico's independance from Spain, the property came under control of the government. In 1923, the property was returned to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and once again became a church & community religious center.
